About Us
For over fifty years, Camp Sequoia has been open to youth
groups and their families for over-night camp programs, field
trips, day pass programs and RV camping. There are well over 100
acres of nature preserve like park, presenting some of the most
beautiful landscape, wetland, wild life and rare flowering
shrubs and trees to all who visit Sequoia. In 1997, we began the
process to remodel and make the much needed improvements to a
facility for children and their families, a facility which began
in the early 1950's. With hours of hard work and years creating
happy memories, we have turned Camp Sequoia into what it is
today.
What is Camp Sequoia? Camp Sequoia is a facility for your
organized groups, churches, schools, private foundations and
other organizations to use for retreats, field trips, camp
programs or even individual day pass programs. Why drive hours
away when Camp Sequoia is here locally. We have private fishing
lakes, a large in-ground swimming pool with bath house that has
showers, sinks, flush toilets and dressing rooms. There are
miles of well-groomed walking, running and bicycle trails,
playground, basketball hoops, volley ball, horse shoe pits,
commercial kitchen with dining hall, sleeping cabins, picnic
areas and more. There is so much sporting equipment to play just
about any group game you can think of and we have the sports
fields to play in. Our brand new log cabin chapel set in a
wooded setting is absolutely beautiful. The facilities at Camp
Sequoia are here for your organized group to use. Plan a picnic,
weekend retreat or week long camp program for your group with us
at Camp Sequoia.
We offer private facilities which include, sleeping cabins,
shower facilities, kitchen with dining hall, log cabin chapel,
lakes, woods, sporting equipment, sport fields, running trails,
swimming pool, wagon rides, guided nature tours and much more.
At Sequoia, we encourage your group to help promote growth and
challenge in the areas of nature studies, organized sports, team
building, independent thinking, creativity and more.
Camp Sequoia is a federally recognized public charity under
section 509(a)(2) of the Internal Revenue Code and is exempt
under section 501(c)(3). Best of all, Camp Sequoia is located
here in Lenawee County and serving our community needs! Our
continued programming is only possible though by the generosity
of foundations, manufacturers, private citizens and
organizations who give generously with donations and grants
which are used for scholarships, improvements and much needed
purchases. All gifts and donations are tax deductable.
